Bob Dylan
4th time Around

From the Album "Blonde on Blonde"
(and "Live 1966")

ok, this song seems to have 3 guitars: an acoustic steel stringed (most likely
played by Dylan) and two classical guitars(tabbed out toward the bottom). If you
wanna play the live version (from "Live 1966") just play the steel string guitar
part and an E blues harmonica.

Steel stringed acoustic:
------------------------

Below are the chords from the album version (Blonde on Blonde.) The live version
from 'live 1966' is more or less the same except that the Cadd4 is replaced now
and then with a Cadd4/A. It is replaced all throughout the intro and outro, and
every now and then while Dylan is singing. It seems he just plays whichever one
he feels like at the time, so thats what i play too.

Capo: 4th fret

             EADGBe
Cadd4 : x33010
Cadd4/A : x03010

C Cadd4 C Cadd4 C Cadd4 C Cadd4

 C Cadd4
When she said,

        C Cadd4 C
"Don't waste your words, they're just lies,"

   Cadd4 C Cadd4 C Cadd4
I cried she was deaf.

C Cadd4 C Cadd4 C
And she worked on my face until breaking my eyes,

             Cadd4 C Cadd4 C Cadd4
Then said, "What else you got left?"

         Em
It was then that I got up to leave

                        Dm
But she said, "Don't forget,

      C Cadd4 C
Everybody must give something back

     Cadd4 C Cadd4 C Cadd4
For something they get."

I stood there and hummed,
I tapped on her drum and asked her how come.
And she buttoned her boot,
And straightened her suit,
Then she said, "Don't get cute."
So I forced my hands in my pockets
And felt with my thumbs,
And gallantly handed her
My very last piece of gum.

She threw me outside,
I stood in the dirt where ev'ryone walked.
And after finding I'd
Forgotten my shirt,
I went back and knocked.
I waited in the hallway, she went to get it,
And I tried to make sense
Out of that picture of you in your wheelchair
That leaned up against . . .

Her Jamaican rum
And when she did come, I asked her for some.
She said, "No, dear."
I said, "Your words aren't clear,
You'd better spit out your gum."
She screamed till her face got so red
Then she fell on the floor,
And I covered her up and then
Thought I'd go look through her drawer.

And, when I was through
I filled up my shoe
And brought it to you.
And you, you took me in,
You loved me then
You didn't waste time.
And I, I never took much,
I never asked for your crutch.
Now don't ask for mine.

(Repeat verse with harmonica. Fade on C Cadd4 C Cadd4 ...)

==================
Classical Guitars:
==================

Since the classical guitars are pretty repetitive, instead of tediously writing
every single measure out, ive written out the three different parts. They
correspond to the chords that the rhythm guitar is playing. I recomend you learn
the three parts first and then look at the chord progression above to find where
they go. It should also be pretty straightforward from just listening to the song too.

Play this during the 'C - Cadd4' progression:

  guitar 1
{|--------7-----9--7--|---------9------10--9--|
{|-----9-----9--------|-----10-----10---------|
{|--9-----------------|--9--------------------|
{|--------------------|-----------------------|
{|--------------------|-----------------------|
{|--------------------|-----------------------|
{|
{|guitar 2
{|--------------------|-----------------------|
{|--------------------|----------------0------|
{|--------1-----1-----|---------2----------2--|
{|-----2-----2-----2--|-----2------2----------|
{|--------------------|-----------------------|
{|--0-----------------|--0--------------------|

Play this 4x during Em:

  guitar 1
{|--------9--7---------|
{|-----9--------10--9--|
{|--8------------------|
{|---------------------|
{|---------------------|
{|---------------------|
{|
{|guitar 2
{|--------0------------|
{|-----0-----4--2--0---|
{|---------------------|
{|---------------------|
{|---------------------|
{|--4------------------|

Play this 4x during Dm:

{|---------9--7--------|
{|--7--10-------10--9--|
{|---------------------|
{|---------------------|
{|---------------------|
{|---------------------|
{|
{|
{|---------0-----------|
{|------------4--2--0--|
{|-----2---------------|
